Hello Lahav and thank you.

Re: The video on the proposed reforms in Israel.

First there were technical glitches which spoiled my enjoyment. Unlikely that its my net or connection as I spend many hours on youtube and even on Substack .

I enjoy your Tweets too, very much.

On subject the video I would suggest to listen to Daniel Gordis and an Israel jurist on " Hungary". See below..

The other thing : explaining to US of A, Americans is like we Brits (I made Aliya in 1961 from London),

say about the U S and Britain. "Two Countries separated by a common language!". To an American the words like Attorney General, Supreme Court, Parliamentary Majority, judicial review, coalition government, Synagogue and State, or Church and State', Sefardi judge, even ' public schools', health ministry, national service, police chief, a law such as the hitgabrut law, have entirely different connotations and associations.

Quite apart from the Federal and Presidential aspect and obviously

" National Health" aka in us speak

"Socialistic Medicine " and in Israel we call " Welfare:

Also the terms " Left" and " Right"! The issues here are very different from the USA. Mr Netanyahu terms all who are not in his way of thinking as " Left".

I will be pleased to hear more . Also - the court reforms by a majority of a few Knesset members , not two thirds even, are not the complete plan put forward and even placed in the Knesset . eg. The bill for prohibiting any form of strike or industrial action . And more.

Please try to access Gordis of the Shalem Centre, in Jerusalem . On Substack

Here:

**We'd be Hungary, not a liberal democracy" (a brief excerpt)

We hear more from Professor Roznai on his views of the proposed judicial reform, focusing on "the reasonableness test" and the independence of legal advisors. We'll soon present other views, too.
